Currently, the "Simulate Capture" feature only supports mocking static images. This is a request to extend that functionality to allow for the injection of GIFs and videos into the camera stream.
Use Case:
This would be extremely valuable for testing applications that rely on the camera to scan animated QR codes, recognize dynamic movements, or process short video clips. For example, testing user verification flows that require a short video of the user's face, or applications that interact with animated content via the camera.
This feature would significantly improve our ability to automate and test dynamic camera-based scenarios.
