There is no way to add multiple Stories at one time to an Epic when all entities already exist. This would be useful when I have numerous Stories that wind up being associated and want to do so with an Epic after all entities are created. I can see this being done either with a multi-select feature (like the checkboxes) or with a drag and drop feature.
As it stands right now, with the latest Release (Winter '12), you must do this at each individual Story, which could be very time-consuming depending on the number of items in your Backlog.

Agreed ! I think it was possible before Winter'12 release because the Epic view allowed to display backlog items that were not attached to any Epic. You could then drag and drop such orphan BLIs to an existing epic.
In Winter'12 release, there is a new "Move to Epic" option in the Epic view allowing to multi-select BLIs and attach them to an existing Epic, but we can not see orphan BLIs in this view anymore....
I too am disappointed to see that orphan stories can no longer be displayed in the epic tree view. This functionality was not the best solution overall, but it was visual.
The 'Move to Epic' multi-action is back on the backlog grids. Use the selection checkboxes to select any number of backlog items to assign to an epic. This feature is available in the Summer 2012 release.
