It would be EXTREMELY useful to have some skinning options in VersionOne. I sit in front of VersionOne all day and the white light from the white background in the app is super bright. Being that I work in VersionOne for long periods of time, it would be useful to have a slider or a skin picker to be able to darken the background so that it is easier on my eyes. I get headaches very quick from looking at the app and have to take frequent breaks from the application.

If I could get this capability, I feel like I would be able to sit and work in the application for longer periods of time. Also, I have worked in other applications that have a darker background and find that it is easier to stay in the application for longer periods of time. Since VersionOne can be either a labor intensive or a light viewing application based on the user, I would deem it as necessary for those who are in the app for longer periods of time like myself. This would detract from having to step away from the application, reduce headaches, and provide for a better user experience all around.

  • I agree. I'm a photographer and think that offering skinning similar to Adobe Lightroom 4 would be a nice feature. The LR4 skinning is primarily a dark gray.

  • My team really dislikes the red / black colour scheme of the V1 online site. We use Zendesk for our helpdesk and Zendesk lets us "brand" our website
with our own logo, favicon, and color scheme. I would really like to see something similar with V1

  • Introducing a color scheme would allow us to easily differentiate between our various instances of VersionOne (notably production and sandbox)

  • As of the Summer 2015 release, there is now a dark theme, which can be enabled in your preferences.
