We have noticed that the performance of VersionOne is poorer than we expected. We did some infestigation and found that the HTML returned from V1 is often huge. In addition we found that the page size (in MB) grows at a greater rate than the rows. A cursory look at the HTML shows that a tremendous amount of duplicate data is being sent for each row.
This issue creates a practical cap on the number of rows that can be on a screen. It causes the interface to be slow and often seem to "lock up". In general it makes the UI unpleasent and unproductive.

Anything that improves performance!
We have 190 backlog items. Performance is a serious issue even though Firefox is a factor 2 faster than IE.

My backlogs average 300 items each. At the top level, thousands of stories. If I display closed stories, over 10k. We are about to hit story ID B-30000. Better performance would be appreciated. Somewhat better in 9.3 vs prior versions.
Reducing page size is part of an ongoing initiative to improve performance. Substantial reductions in page size have been made over the past few releases, especially with the Spring 2011 release.
Further details about the Spring 2011 release can be found in the release notes:
