Currently, the epics are not automatically shown in road map. User has to create an item, then associate the item with epic/epics.
Would it be great that the road map has all the epics shown in road map as items?

Roadmaps in the Summer 2016 release are based on portfolio items, so are automatically populated with the epics, features or whatever level (Type) you select.
