We have several of our team members who have started using Google Chrome. They like the speed most of all and it would be great if we could use it in VersionOne.

Comments

  • Yes, this would be helpful. Chrome is much faster than any other browser. 8x faster than ie. http://doug-shimp.net

  • Although I'm a fan of many MSFT products I do find Chrome to be a far better browser than IE. One doesn't realize how bloated IE is until you try Chrome.

  • I concur. V1 is javascript heavy, which makes it a perfect web site to use Chrome on. In fact, if I could use Chrome on V1, I would use it as my default browser. Most of the developers in my group feel the same way.

  • Chrome beats IE in all aspects... Please support it as the only reason I am using IE is because of V1

  • Has there been any movement on this issue? Is there an ETA?

  • From all these comments, I understand V1 is not yet compatible with Chrome. That is also what I experienced (can't go further than the connection dialog... No error, just that nothing happens). Could we have an answer on this, because like the others, I'd really appreciate using VersionOne with Chrome!

  • I agree with Eric, this was started over 9 months ago and still no resolution or answer?

  • Apparently our wishes have been fulfilled!
I tried to connect to VersionOne with Chrome today, and apparently it works!
    That's great!

  • No I don't think it does. In the drop down on the left to create a backlog item, (etc) can't select an option.

  • The Project tree selector is broken on both Safari and Chrome. Both use the WebKit rendering engine. There is a topic with 30 votes for Safari on mac (https://ideaspace.versionone.com/default/Idea/Detail/20), 5 votes for Safari on Windows (https://ideaspace.versionone.com/default/Idea/Detail/19) and combined with the 65 votes for Chrome, there are 100 votes for supporting WebKit browsers making it by far the most voted for enhancement.

  • And here are another 10 votes for WebKit-based browsers: "Smart phone (palm pre / iphone / android) support for essential ..." (https://ideaspace.versionone.com/default/Idea/Detail/279)

  • We've been working on purging the old IE6 remnants and making way for the modern browsers. We'll be supporting Chrome in the Spring '10 release.

  • Thank you Mark!

  • Awesome, were about to start ~180 developers on V1 and almost all of us use Chrome. We were bummed to have to install IE to get V1 to work while demoing it.

  • The Spring'10 Release is now available and includes Chrome support. Check out the Release Notes for more details.
