Designers in our company all use Macs and all love their Safari browsers. We want them to be able to use their native OS and browser of choice. Please add it to the supported list.

  • There is no reason not to support all modern browsers. In my experience, javascript works equally on all non-Microsoft browsers.

Apple's market share among software developers is probably higher among people likely to need or want to use VersionOne.

It looks like things mostly work except the project tree control.

  • If you're going to support just one browser on the Mac, it probably ought to be the one that ships with the OS.

  • I'm shocked that Safari on the mac isn't supported! I develop full time on a mac, so I have to keep a PC around to use Version One? Ugh.

  • Just bumped into problems using Safari for windows. Drop down Projects listboxes do not let you change selections. Major bummer.

  • We are evaluating both Rally and VersionOne as we are trying to move away from Trac. While we can get along using Firefox, it makes moving from Trac to VersionOne a much harder sell in my company. Our most creative people use Macs and it is tough to sell them on a product that doesn't support Safari, especially when Rally has, so far as we have seen so far, supported it just fine.

  • Any progress on this as a backlog item for VersionOne?

  • Hard to believe the Project tree control is not fixed yet. At least Atlassian / Jira supports all modern browsers.

  • Not sure you can compare Jira with VersionOne and I'm frankly not surprised that Safari was not targeted first given current market shares - however, most modern web UI toolkits support the latest versions of Safari and it would be very useful as far as I am concerned so this one gets my vote.

  • The Spring'10 Release is now available and includes Safari support. Check out the Release Notes for more details.
