I have kanban board setup which seems reasonably common if you reads the literature that has a Kanban limit which covers multiple columns.
For example you may have 2 columns Implementing and Ready for Review where the limit is set to cover both columns together rather than having separate limits for each column.
I'd like to be able to set the limit to cover more than one column.

I would also like to suggest that the WIP limit be "per team" and not "per project". If two teams are working on one project, IMHO the WIP limits should be for the teams and not the project. If our world, the teams have separation functions, and the backlog items clearly belong to one team or another.
Also, a team may be involved in more than one project, so the WIP limits again should be for the team as a whole.
We need this quickly because our Agile coach taught us Kanban this way.

I agree.
The Fall 2012 release of VersionOne provides support for both WIP limits across multiple columns as well as WIP limits per team. Mutli-status WIP limits are available in all Storyboards while TeamRooms provide additional scope for board settings such as WIP limits to be applied to teams rather than projects. This means that two teams on the same project could use different WIP limits in their two TeamRooms. More details are available in the release notes:
