For ease of use it would be nice if the Owner field would default to the current user.

• This would be quite a problem for us... the "facilitator" typing in stories while planning is not the owner 50% of the time. At least make this a preference!

• Even if you are not the owner, setting this as default rather than empty would be an improvement! Things without owners tend to be "forgotten"

• The member creating the story may not always be the intended "owner". But there is a way to accomplish this now. First - Set a filter by Owner and then as new backlog items are created, the fields will pre-populate with the value of the currently applied filters. Tip: Save a grid view customization to setup the filter values to apply as pre-populated values as you create a new data item.
