Requested by a product manager with large epic hierarchies:
When selecting Breakdown Epic, the entire epic hierarchy is displayed on the left. With a large hierarchy, you might need to scroll down to find your epic/story. The PM would like the display to start with the epic selected.
Perhaps this could be a filter or user preference setting.

I also work with this view with a large hierarchy. Another good idea would be to have the left hand "tree view" scrolling independently of the right hand "view/edit" pane - otherwise, when editing/adding to an epic half way down the tree, both the right AND left panes leap back to the top of the screen (losing the scrolling position in the left hand pane).
The Winter '13 release gets rid of the separate breakdown view entirely by pulling the breakdown functionality forward into the Epic Tree page. This allows you to decompose an epic at any spot in the tree without the need to change context and jump around.
