Unlike discussions, conversations do not allow you to insert even the simplest formatting such as line breaks. Converted discussions which were formatted now look a mess and conversations do not support this types of communications we had used discussions for since they don't allow line breaks or other types of formatting. Line breaks are especially important for us.

Line break are the bare nessesity here.
We used discussions a lot in the previous version and now you've replaced them with this? Our previous discussions are virtually unusable and we cannot use conversations the way we used discussions due to the lack of line feeds, etc.
I agree that this was really annoying. I had a few really nice discussions that were destroyed by the lack of formatting. I understand the reasoning for wanting to make Conversations plain text, but when it is a replacement for a non-plain text feature it just seems ridiculous.
We're working on support for line breaks & white space. Thanks for the feedback!
I wish we could have a notes section back as before as well as formatted conversations. They are two different things. I used notes for recording minutes and agreements in stand ups around an item, as reference, and converstations does not seem appropriate for this...at least currently
Very Good feature !!!
The Winter 2011 release offers the ability to enter line breaks and white space in your conversations. Also, data from older Discussion notes will be reconverted to retain all line breaks and white space from those original notes now within Conversations.
