Our team is currently using the storyboard as our virtual Kanban board. We would like to be able to select a color for the story cards so we can flag certain items. Color coding can be left up to the team so it can be more versatile. i.e. Yellow fill on card for reopened defects, Red fill on cards for items at risk or stoppers, etc. Thanks for your time!

  • This would be very helpful!

  • Our team would like to color code our board as well. See this board for an example:

  • The whole website needs a color uplift in every area!

  • Color coding based on the value of a certain custom field or custom list would be exceptionally useful.

  • or a color code along those lines: http://files.me.com/philippe.kruchten/vuldw4
(should work on Story- and Taskboard)

  • I agree with Steven H. that color coding based on a custom field would be very valuable. Our stories (work) is categorized by color (e.g. yellow is date driven) and we lose that value in the virtual Kanban view in Version One as compared to our physical board.

  • Another idea is to make it possible to color code based on the user that has signed up for the item.

It would also be nice if the items that I (as a user) have signed up for would be highlighted above the other stories in some way.

  • I agree. We need to identify high priority items (fires) then need to be expedited through the system.

  • I am really happy to see that this is going to become a reality. We are migrating some projects to Kanban and this is going to be a big help.

  • Color is available in the Summer '11 Release: http://community.versionone.com/Release%20Notes/ReleaseNotes2011Summer.aspx
