We have some users that get frustrated when the hover comes up when they
are working and seem to run into issues where it does not go away
easily, which obscures the view when they do their stand up meetings
(and other meetings). It is a great feature, but I think it would be
good to have an easy to access control to enable and disable it from
each screen.
Thanks,
Tom

And from my follow up comment: "I've seen other applications solve this by having a little 'x' in the
upper right corner to close the hover window. "

PLEASE - this is very annoying - you have to find the right spot on the page by mousing over something else to get the thing out of the way.
I've heard this works better under IE, but I use FireFox and its very frustrating.
Note that passing your mouse over the hover popup and then off again should be sufficient to dismiss the popup. Having an explicit click area on the hover to dismiss is an interesting idea that could make the dismissal more obvious.
I voted for this issue, but I wouldn't care about having an explicit click area if the popup would disappear when the mouse is moved away, like it should.
I would be curious as to what the resolution to this item is. I agree w/ Mark that if you move "back" over a window it will close, but as Daniel noted, I would hope that as I move away from the hover it closes automatically, instead of having to go back and close it for myself. Note that it inconsistently stays open - not sure what the steps are to do it in a repeatable fashion. The idea for a "close" or "x" was that if the window won't close for whatever reason when you move away, you can get in the habit of just closing it yourself.
The Fall '09 Release contains changes to address the core issue. The approach taken is to dismiss the window when the mouse or window focus goes away rather than explicitly have a close action. There were some 'holes' that were identified that allowed the mouse to get out of the popup area without dismissing the window, so those holes were filled. We're marking this one as completed. Please let us know if you continue to have issues after upgrading to the Fall '09 release. We hope we have this one licked, but are certainly willing to give it another go if needed.
