Prior to this release, each story showed its stage (In Progress, Done) so it was useful in tracking that team members were properly staging stories and tasks.
Also, the printable Taskboard used to look professional and crisp. This version prints in a hard-to-read format without gridlines.

I agree, I'd like the task/testboard to regain the backlog status display. I was hoping to see these tools gain some functionality, and they went in the other direction.
We're planning to address this in an upcoming point release.
