This would allow customers to enter feature ideas and/or production incidents, which would be triaged and subsequently imported into V1 as appropriate. Perhaps, they would be imported as Requests, which could be evaluated and converted into Defects or Backlog Items. A link between V1 and Salesforce/Supportforce would be retained, so that status can be queried from witihin those tools.

This would be very powerful! We'd like to move enhancement requests out of the Support ticketing process -- which we do today through Salesforce -- and into an environment where we could bring popular, sensible ideas easily over into our V1 backlog. This could be implemented as a Force.com application OR as something that we could embed or link from our discussion community.
This would help us to remove an extra layer in our system today if we could move from Salesforce directly to requests or stories (preferably requests).
