Each user already has an email associated with it. But there is no way to use it in an email notification task or retrieve it using a script task. I want to BCC the team manager (which is a user in digitial.ai Release) when an email was sent, but I was told from support that there is no way to pull the email associated with that account from the database.

  • Simon, thank you for the idea.

Please let me know if I understand this correctly: in Notification task you would like to be able to add username instead of the email, and would like system to resolve the associated email of this username?

Want to double check if this is related to username or the role that user is assigned to.

  • This would be very helpful, as my teams are having to maintain KVMs of IDs and contact details, which is really cumbersome.

  • Could you please check our Community for the suggested design change and let us know whether the proposed solution would work? https://community.digital.ai/release-deploy/post/design-feedback-for-release-notification-task-email-selector-PdeqIwXgPUVWSL2

  • Yes. I think the design would work. Ideally, it will automatically fill in the user's email if the user is already in diigital.ai release, but *still* allow email to be sent to email account that doesn't belong to any user in digitial.ai release.

  • Simon, yes, that is the intended behavior - if user is available in Release, it would allow to pick him/her, if not, email can be entered manually as in the current product behavior.

  • This change is available in June 2023 Early Access release, release notes: https://docs.digital.ai/bundle/devops-release-version-v.23.1/page/release/release-notes/early-access-release.html .
