I would like the ability to use the 'template versioning' mechanism for the execution of templates.
For instance, I could configure my template to run from version 1.0 whilst I'm actively making changes for v1.1.
It would allow me to safely run the beta/prototype 1.1, whilst my users are happily still running v1.0
This is especially important for working with triggers, where a trigger event can happen at any time.
This would put an end to the practice of having 'dev' subfolders, or making endless copies of templates.

We will not be enhancing "Template versioning" functionality. Instead we recommend utilizing "GitOps-enabled version control" as the preferred approach to version templates and associated items. For a more detailed explanation on how to implement GitOps version control for releases, please refer to this link: https://docs.digital.ai/bundle/devops-release-version-v.23.1/page/release/how-to/using-gitops-version-control.html
