We need support for AZUL ZULU JRE support instead of OPEN JDK( our security team identified many vulns with openjdk)

Comments

  • We currently offer support for both Oracle JDK and Open JDK, and there are no plans to introduce additional JDKs. Upon the General Availability release of Erawan, we will integrate JDK 17 to align with Open JDK. Furthermore, we are in the process of planning a transition to JDK 21, expected to take place during the Fuji timeframe in Q4 2024. This strategic move aims to effectively address and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.

  • Azul JDK is an OpenJDK with proper vendor support. A lot of enterprises would move from Oracle to the likes of Azul due to Oracle's new licensing model. I think you should reconcider your plans.

  • Digital.ai does not formally support the Azul Zulu JRE due to the wide variety of Java distributions available, but it should work as expected even though we do not officially test it. We are committed to providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance on a best-effort basis to existing Digital.ai Release customers who use Azul Zulu, as long as issues can be reproduced with an officially supported version.
