Today in Digital.ai Release , the Gitlab plugin allows the initation of CI pipeline using the Trigger Pipeline task. Additionally, the Gitlab API also enable the creation/starting of a pipeline using just the Personal Access Token, without the need for a pipeline trigger token. It would be practical to have a "Create Pipeline" Task added to plugin with the same fileds as the "Trigger Pipeline" task except the trigger token field.
I hope that you add this useful feature as soon as possible.

We've conducted an investigation into this change, and it appears to be viable. We'll starting working on this update following the 24.3 (Fuji) release, or sooner if possible.
