We use Digital.ai release as part of ensuring our compliance to ISO standards and record-keeping for our compliance to those standards.
After our releases are completed and archived, our internal auditing will occasionally identify improper record-keeping that needs to be corrected.
Currently, there is no way to provide any comment or update on a task in an archived release. This prevents us from adding a comment to correct the improper record-keeping. In these cases, our process has successfully identified an anomaly that we should correct, but we have no way to correct it within Digital.ai Release. When an external audit occurs, we have to explain that we knew about the error but could not correct the records within the Release system.
We would like to have a mechanism to update tasks in archived releases. Most important is the ability to add a new, additional comment on any task in an archived release. Since this comment will have a timestamp associated with it, there is an audit trail that this comment was added after the previous completion of the release. This will allow us to make any record-keeping corrections that are identified after the release has been completed, ensuring a successful external audit.
