Hello,
As a user, I would like to be able to delete a branch .For example a temporary branch that I created during a release. However, the GitLab plugin does not provide the option to delete a branch.
Additionally, the plugin does not allow me to enable the "Delete source branch" option when creating a merge request, which could provide an alternative solution to our need.
Impact:
Currently, in our obsolescence workflow, if the "release/obso" branch already exists, I risk not having the latest version present on master (especially if the previous release did not complete its workflow due to incorrect data on the source). This can cause issues with the obsolescence process.
Request:
I would like to request that the GitLab plugin be updated to allow users to delete temporary branches and enable the "Delete source branch" option when creating a merge request. This would improve our workflow and prevent potential issues with outdated branches.
Use case:
Create a temporary branch for a release
Merge the branch into master
Delete the temporary branch to keep the repository clean and up-to-date
Benefits:
Improved workflow efficiency
Reduced risk of outdated branches causing issues
Enhanced user experience with the GitLab plugin
