Hello,
Currently, connections in Digital AI Release are managed at the root folder level, with all subfolders inheriting the same permissions. This can lead to overly broad access control, where users with access to a subfolder may have unintended access to sensitive connections.
To address this limitation, we propose introducing a permission level per connection in Digital AI Release. This would allow administrators to define specific permissions for each connection, enabling fine-grained control over who can access and use each connection.
Benefits:
Improved Security: By assigning permissions at the connection level, administrators can ensure that sensitive connections are only accessible to authorized users and subfolders.
Reduced Risk: Granular permission control reduces the risk of unauthorized access to connections, minimizing the potential for data breaches or other security incidents.
Increased Flexibility: With permission levels per connection, administrators can create complex access control scenarios, where different subfolders have access to different connections, or where specific users have access to specific connections.
Simplified Auditing: By tracking permissions at the connection level, administrators can more easily audit and monitor access to sensitive connections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
