You may expand the opportunity to add more system messages, so not only the upcoming may be there, but a list of them

ASIS
-System message: 1 entry

TOBE
-Multiple entries for the future
-You may offer an endpoint, from which the planned availability of the system is retrievable

Comments

  • Thank you for the idea.

    1. Can you explain what situation or use case you are trying to solve? For example, are these messages for planned maintenance windows, general announcements, or something else? And would past messages need to be kept for reference?

    2. Would you show multiple messages at a time, or would they be displayed one by one but scheduled in the future? If multiple are shown at once, should users be able to dismiss individual messages, and should some messages be more prominent than others (e.g., critical vs. informational)?

    3. Who consumes the availability endpoint? What external system or team would call it, and what would they do with the data?

  • Dear Team,
Thank you for checking this item.
1-Use case: planned maintenance / general announcements for information dissemination
2-Display one highlighted notification for critical issues. Show upcoming maintenance (if you own it). Other notifications can be scrolled through and dismissed.
3-External systems can call this endpoint to delay their own requests when needed. External systems can use this data to plan their requests better and avoid unnecessary calls.
    Regards,
    Peter
