With the new integrations for AI agents to work inside of Release Orchestration, users are facing issues with their agents potentially starting releases, even when not supposed to. To combat this, users are able to create a generic ID and assign it to the roles the agent requires while leaving out the permissions to start releases.
Unfortunately this takes time for teams to onboard a new generic account into XLR and provide permissions, as well as causing folder permissions to lose hygiene with the inclusion of new accounts.
We are requesting that when users create their Personal Access Token and select custom permissions for the PAT to operate with, that there can be a new checkbox added to the permissions that allows users to select/deselect whether they want their PAT to have access to running releases.
